Christian Pondella

Christian Pondella is an adventure sports photographer based in Mammoth Lakes, CA. As a participant in a lot of the sports he photograph, he tries to capture an image through the athlete’s perspective, instead of the spectators view. One of his goals is to give people an intimate and more personal view, capturing the viewer’s emotions and making them feel like they are part of the action.
 
Christian is a Senior Photographer for Powder Magazine and his images have been regularly published in Powder for the past 14 years. He considers Powder to have played an important role in launching his career. He also also the head photographer for Red Bull USA, a contributor to Getty Images, and a San Disk Extreme Team member. His images have been published in a variety magazines such Outside, Men’s Journal, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, GQ, Maxim, FHM, and other publications and newspapers throughout the world. 
 
He absolutely love what hw does for a living and believes the passion he has for the sports and subjects that he photographs has played an integral role in the success of his career.
